Ralphie May, one of the most successful comics to come out of "Last Comic Standing", died Friday at the age of 45, his manager confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

On Friday morning, American standup comedian Ralph O.

May rose to fame in 2003 as a competitor on the very first season of "Last Comic Standing", finishing second behind only Dat Phan.

According to TMZ, May had been fighting pneumonia for weeks and died of cardiac arrest.

His personal life took a few hits though. I compromised my health.

TMZ says in 2015, he and his wife Lahna Turner, also a comedian, filed for divorce. He's starred in several specials since on Comedy Central and Netflix, including "Girth of a Nation", "Prime Cut" and "Too Big to Ignore". May was devastated by the split and the ensuing custody battle over their two children.
