Was Rapper TI Wrongfully Arrested Outside His Atlanta Home?

According to police, the guard at Eagles' Landing Country Club called police on T.I. and a friend after the rapper began yelling at the guard, who refused to let him in the gate.

After T.I. parked his auto at his home, he walked back to try to get James' name, the report said. According to police, T.I.'s friend, 40-year-old Marquinarius Holmes, was arrested on outstanding charges out of Clayton County for not having proof of auto insurance. James eventually opened the gate and let T.I.in, but T.I. told police James wouldn't give him his name or his supervisor's name when asked.

T.I. was taken into custody on misdemeanor charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. "T.I.is adamant that the guard was the aggressor and "antagonized" him". His friend was arrested on an outstanding warrant, Channel 2 reported.

T.I. said he observed the security guard, Euwan James, sleeping, according to the police report.

His friend, Marquinarius Holmes, 40, of Stockbridge, was arrested on outstanding charges out of Clayton County and for not having proof of auto insurance, the sheriff's office told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The guard was sound asleep when Tip arrived at the guardhouse. He claimed that the guard was sleeping on the job and started a "very heated debate" when he woke up.

T.I.'s most recent album, "Paperwork", arrived in 2014, but the rapper has been working on a new release, "The Dime Trap", that is expected this year. Tip clearly identified himself and sought entry.

Following his arrest, the rapper T.I.'s mugshot has been released.

He added: 'The guard continued to refuse entry without justification. "When the police arrived, they were not interested in hearing [T.I.]'s side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting [him]". He called the incident "small potatoes" compared to all that he's been through and said he would let God "deal with the craziness..." He says he demanded the guard's name, but the guy refused.

On Instagram live, T.I. didn't explain what happened but called it "nonsense".
