Children removed from a squalid California home described acts of intentional abuse that resulted in puncture wounds, burns, bruising and injuries consistent with being shot with a pellet gun, authorities said Monday. The 30-year-old mother is out on bail after her arrest in late March, in which she was being charged with abuse after police returned her 12-year-old son to the family home after he had been reported missing.

Rogers informed reporters she's shocked police had leveled essentially the most severe accusations in opposition to her husband, as he was not the disciplinarian of the household.

The children are 4 months to 12 years old.

"There is not any damaged bones, there is no such thing as a main scars, nothing", Rogers informed reporters in entrance of her home. Rogers says she got pregnant when she was 16 years old. "This is absolutely appalling", Ina Rogers said, standing in the doorway of her Fairfield home while giving reporters her reaction to charges she and her husband abused, even tortured, their 10 children.

In total, the couple has 11 children, KTVU reported (but other sources are reporting they have 10 children.) Eight of their children are biological children that they had together, KTVU reported.

The investigation began March 31 when police in Fairfield, 46 miles northeast of San Francisco, responded to the missing juvenile report.

She claimed the children slept on cots in one bedroom because they were close and the other rooms were used as a master bedroom, a playroom and a meditation room.

She says the "squalor" officers saw when investigating the missing-child report was her tearing apart the house as she searched for her child. Hurlbut said some areas of the home were impassable. She didn't say why.

Authorities say that their investigation revealed years of both physical and mental abuse of the children. He was being held in the Solano County Jail in lieu of $1.5 million bail.

Court records do not indicate whether the parents have lawyers.

Aleida Quartman, 23, who stated she works with Rogers, stated she spoiled her youngsters and the messy home was simply life with youngsters, cats, a canine and fish.

"I'm easily judged because I'm 31 years old and I have 11 children", said Rogers. "I was afraid I could not find him", she said.

Ina Rogers, 30, mother of the children, who was charged with child endangerment, denied the allegations in an interview on Monday. Allen said she is estranged from her son and that he has kept his family away from the grandchildren. She said that they had a baby when they first moved in and another baby late a year ago. Rogers said she works the graveyard shift as an EKG technician at a heart monitoring company and that Allen is a tattoo artist.

In a separate case, prosecutors in Riverside County filed eight new charges against a man accused of shackling and starving some of his 13 children, alleging that he lied on government forms about their schooling.
