Dashcam video shows Marion County deputy saving baby

An off-duty policeman in Florida, US, has been hailed a hero after dashcam footage showed him saving a baby's life.

"Literally tears in my eyes".

She added: "THANK YOU OFFICER JAY NIX FROM THE OCALA SHERIFFS OFFICE Okay-9 unit!" It's some much going on in this world but they still choose to put on their vest and go out and help people in need.

Kingston's family says if it wasn't for their guardian angel being at the right place at the right time they don't know what could have happened.

The woman then hands the baby over to Nix, and he begins administering aid in an effort to revive him as the passenger continues talking on the phone, apparently with emergency dispatchers.

Deputy Jeremie Nix says in his 17 years working for the Marion County Sheriff's Office he's never come across a situation like this.

Her 3-month-old boy named Kingston seemed completely lifeless and needed help.

He got back in his patrol auto and rushed the baby boy to Ocala Regional Medical Center where the baby deputies identified as Kingston was recovering Thursday. He attempted several lifesaving measures on the scene, but ultimately put the baby boy in his patrol vehicle and drove to a nearby hospital.

"Together with his quick pondering HE & GOD saved my son.... after his shift he and his lovely spouse got here to see him once more".

It posted on YouTube: "Deputy Nix delivered the kid to medical personnel, who then started treating the kid".

Kingston left the hospital Thursday evening, and deputies say he is happy and healthy.octors D say that Kingston is alive today because of Deputy Nix.

"We're tremendously pleased with Deputy Nix and we will already see that he and Kingston could have a deep connection that may final a lifetime!"
