The Reds lost 1-0 at Stamford Bridge this afternoon, meaning they are still not guaranteed Champions League football next season, despite being in the final.

Tottenham and Chelsea are two and three points behind Liverpool respectively, but crucially, both London clubs have a game in hand on Jurgen Klopp's men.

Liverpool have agreed a £62million deal with Ligue 1 side Lyon to sign playmaker Nabil Fekir this summer, according to reports emerging from France.

They report that Chelsea are "a step ahead" of Liverpool in the race to land Fekir, even though he has already tentatively agreed a five-year contract with the Reds, and could hijack the deal.

But Liverpool chiefs are said to be asking for a fee in excess of £176m (€200m) which Los Blancos may find it hard to pay this summer.

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Naby Keita, "Bobby" Firmino and potentially Nabil Fekir. "I've said already much more than I usually say".

Club president Jean-Michel Aulas swiftly dismissed the notion amid speculation also linking his player with Chelsea, but when the idea of Fekir joining the Merseyside club next season was presented to Mane, he was more than keen to see it happen.

In response to Liverpool's reported interest in the 20-year-old Frenchman, Klopp funnily said: "Oooh, is he on the market?"

The report claimed Liverpool had arranged to pay Lyon in excess of £60million for Fekir, who has been linked to Arsenal. "We hope to keep him and have him playing the Champions League with us next year". I am a bit surprised by this story.

Huge news surfaced from France claiming that Fekir is set to leave Lyon at the end of the season.
