USA school superintendent accused of being high school 'serial pooper'

Tramaglini, which some on social media have dubbed the "pooper-intendent", was charged with lewdness, littering, and defecating in public.

Holmdel High School staff alerted a school resource officer and athletic coaches "that they were finding human feces" at or near the track and football field "on a daily basis", according to a Facebook post by local police.

Officials monitored the area, and apparently witnessed the 42-year-old Tramaglini as he defecated.

A supintendent at a New Jersey school district was arrested this week for allegedly pooping repeatedly on the football field of a school in another district.

Tramaglini was appointed the Kenilworth Public Schools Superintendent in December 2015. Leaves can only be without pay in the face of indictments or tenure charges, as a matter of state law, the police added.

Tramaglini is the superintendent of the nearby Brearley district, and he was arrested on Monday morning after being caught in the act. The Asbury Park Press said he declined to answer questions from a reporter outside his home.

Tramaglini has since taken a paid leave of absence.

"We learned of municipal court charges facing our current superintendent of schools in Holmdel, N.J.", the board said in a statement.
