Congress is a gold medalist in corruption: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday turned the tables on the State's ruling Congress for maligning the name of Ballari and equating it to a city of looters and plunderers.

He also said the Karnataka government, however, pre-empted the CBI manufactured clean chit to the Reddy brothers and BS Yeddyurappa by refusing to accept the closure by the agency.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Fridayinteract with the office bearers and workers of the BJP's Karnataka women's wing through the NaMo App.

Modi took a dig at former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, who had promised a ₹3,000-crore development package for Ballari. He reiterated his charge of "Sidda-Rupaiah Sarkar". Karnataka has "siddha rupaiya" government, and this government has put the state under debt. "The Congress government didn't bother to frame a strong mining policy over the last five years, but enacted a drama by leading a padayatra against illegal mining", he charged, apparently referring to the Bengaluru to Ballari padayatra against illegal mining led by Mr Siddaramaiah, who was then the leader of the opposition. "He helps the Reddy brothers (Janardhana, Karunakara and Somashekara Reddy) and wants to field them in the elections".

The Prime Minister said the party was working towards promoting "ease of doing business, "but Congress is ensuring ease of doing murder" in Karnataka".

"It is an anti-Dalit, anti-Adivasi, anti-OBC party". We wanted OBC Commission to get Constitutional status but they didn't let it happen.

At his election rallies Shah has frequently taken on "Rahul baba", saying he was unable to see the changes brought about by the Modi government as he was wearing Italian spectacles.

"I urge you not to waste your vote on the JD (S)". He will talk ill of a person, will talk wrong of a person.

Chandrasekhar claimed that the graph of party's chances of winning was moving upwards and Congress' downwards after each public rally by chief minister Siddaramaiah and Congress president Rahul Gandhi. I never resort to personal attacks instead, I ask questions. "It's not expected of them to accept this sin but they can at least keep quiet, when our govt has approved its implementation!" I am a soldier of the Congress not an RSS man who spreads hatred. How will he tackle unemployment which is highest in eight years? "He has made fun of me but has not answered my questions".

"We will defeat BJP with love", he said.

"These elements have often criticised the BJP for a party of upper castes". "Small businesses are closing down due to Gabbar Singh Tax (GST) and demonetisation". You can ask any political pundit and everyone will tell you that the JD (S) will finish at the third spot. Yes or no. Nirav Modi ran off with Rs 30,000 crore.

After the strikes, one Congress leader had called Army chief General Bipin Rawat a "gunda [thug]", Modi alleged.
