Kyle Busch captures Food City 500 Pole at Bristol Motor Speedway

Kyle Busch is on the pole for the second time this year with older brother Kurt Busch starting second.

The remainder of the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway has been postponed until Monday at 1 p.m. ET due to persistent rain in the area, NASCAR announced Sunday afternoon.

Here is all the important information ahead of the race.

STAGES: Stage 1 ends on Lap 125.

Gates are set to open at 9:45 a.m. and the track walk is scheduled for 10 a.m.

"We chose to move the race to a 1 p.m. start after discussing the forecast scenarios with our team of meteorologists, NASCAR and our television partner", Jerry Caldwell, BMS executive vice president and general manager, said.

FORECAST: wunderground.com calls for a high of 69 degrees and a 62 percent chance of thunderstorms at the start of the race.

Cold passes will be honored from 9 a.m. until noon. The balance of the top 12 qualifiers were: Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, Paul Menard, Alex Bowman, Michael McDowell, Joey Logano, and Daniel Suarez.

Last year's Food City 500 victor Jimmie Johnson was 14th in the practice session while teammate Alex Bowman, driving the 88 Nationwide Chevrolet was the highest finishing Hendrick auto in practice, placing seventh with a 14.482 time and a 129.282 speed navigating around The Last Great Colosseum.
