Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 Release Date Revealed

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 is a compilation featuring all eight entries in the Mega Man X series. In fact they announced that it would be arriving next month. Despite being under the radar in recent years, the Mega Man X series is loved by many (including myself) and seeing this franchise coming to current-generation platforms has been a long time coming.

As with many remastered vintage games, the Mega Man X Legacy Collection games will also be coming with updated graphics, and a filter option too so you can play the game with its original graphics as well. Today, Capcom confirmed that the Mega Man X Legacy Collection will release this summer, spread across Mega Man X Legacy Collection and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2, featuring all eight games on two separate volumes.

Like the original Legacy Collection games, these upcoming releases will feature artwork galleries full of the art from the original release and packaging of the games.

You will be able to join X, Zero, and Axl in 21XX when the collections launch on July 24th. However note that this date is for Japan and it is unclear when it might make its way stateside or to other parts of the world. Fans can purchase Mega Man X Legacy Collection digitally for $19.99, or buy the special retail bundle for $39.99. The Day of Sigma is a video focuses on events leading up to Mega Man X as it focuses on the series antagonist. However, in classic Capcom style, only the first collection will actually be on the cartridge with the second available with a download code.
