Florida cop reassigned after suggesting Parkland shooting was a hoax

Over the weekend, conservative talk show host Jamie Allman went into social media lockdown after residents in and around St. Louis - where his show is based - began urging advertisers to drop their sponsorship in response to Allman's graphic threat of violence towards Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg.

The tweet by the host of "The Allman Report" on KDNL-TV, the Sinclair-owned St. Louis ABC affiliate, has since been deleted, but it caused advertisers to flee his show.

Ronn Torossian - a spokesman for Sinclair Broadcasting, which owns KNDL ABC 30 - said, "Yes his show is cancelled and he is off the air immediately".

Sinclair is the largest owner of local television stations in the country, with 173 stations in 81 broadcast markets, and is now awaiting federal approval of a takeover of Tribune Media, which would extend the broadcaster's reach to almost 70 percent of households in America. He has advocated for stricter gun control since 17 people were killed in the February 14 mass shooting at his school in Parkland, Florida.

Among his critics is Fox News host Laura Ingraham who took a week long vacation over her comment that he "whined" about not being accepted to four of his chosen colleges.

A St. Louis conservative program entitled "The Allman Report" has been canceled after the show's host, Jamie Allman, tweeted his desire to assault a student from Stoneman Douglas High School. Hogg retaliated by encouraging others to boycott her show The Ingraham Angle, which led to several advertisers pulling out of her show. Jeff Allen, the program director for FM NewsTalk 97.1, did not respond to request for comment. The Riverfront Times, which first drew attention to the tweet, reported that Allman had previously accused the teenage gun control activist of not being a "grown-up" when it came to handling criticism. Trump said rival TV stations were merely "worried about the competition and quality of Sinclair Broadcast".

The teenager has also been the target of conservative trolls.
