Sunrise will be at 6.58am and sunset will be at 7.43pm. This wedge keeps clouds in tact and temperatures down with highs struggling to reach low 70s. For western Kentucky, these showers will be mostly rain, but southeast IL and southwest IN may see some snow mixed IN. There is a 30% chance for a mix of rain/snow showers during the overnight and early morning hours.

Mostly sunny skies resume on Wednesday with one last cool day in the mid 50s.

Here's the forecast from the National Weather Service.

TODAY: Morning sunshine will give way to afternoon clouds. It'll be wet and heavy so it'll mostly cause for some wet roads and few slick spots since temperatures will be hovering near or below freezing. By around midnight, the best chances for snow will be along and north of I-64.

Clouds increase into Sunday ahead of our next system that will bring continued chilly weather and a chance for a wintry mix Sunday afternoon. Additionally, we may see an isolated snow shower across our northern mountains. Highs Monday will be near 40°, melting some of the snow that fell. "1-4" of snow are possible, with locally higher amounts.

Mostly sunny skies continue for Wednesday, Thursday, and even into Friday with temperatures climbing into the mid and upper 70s late week.

Monday: Cold and rainy.
