Moto G6 press renders and key specs are out

Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and Moto G6 Plus are the three handsets which have been subjected to several leaks recently, with the smartphones' specifications, design, and features having leaked a few times. Moto G6 was previously leaked on Chinese certification site TENAA. That clearly did not happen, and the Moto X5 was also reportedly cancelled. Apparently, pricing is said to be very affordable with the G6 Play at $199 and the G6 at $249.

Motorola Moto G6 Play is listed with a 5.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. The inbuilt storage of the phone is 64GB internal storage, expandable via microSD (up to 128GB). The front-facing camera has been confirmed as an 8MP sensor, though.

We've got an update on the Moto G6 smartphones, thanks to a Hungarian website that shared the full specifications of each phone, as well as, specs.

The report also states that the Moto G6 will be shipping with a dual-camera system, like the one found in the Moto X4, but the exact specifications are unknown right now. Except for the front-facing fingerprint scanner, the front remains same as the G6 Play.

According to the listing, the Moto G6 series from Motorola is going to get a major design overhaul with an 18:9 aspect ratio display. The phone will come in two variants, 4GB RAM/32GB storage or 4GB RAM/64GB storage with Android Oreo out-of-the-box. Those dual-cameras, however, will be able to use a "Selective Focus" mode for blurring out the background, and new features such as "animated face filters" and the ability to natively scan documents will also be available.

That's no small feat, mind you, as the Z3 Play is expected to provide over 6 inches of usable screen real estate, compared to the 5.5-inch Super AMOLED panel of its predecessor. Under the hood, the Moto G6 could be powered by a Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM, and 64GB onboard storage. Despite this, it features a handsome and modern design with that 18:9 display on the front and glossy back panel. The phone will have 12MP+5MP dual rear camera and a 16MP front shooter. A 3,200mAh non-removable battery will be a part of the package as well, while Android 8.0 Oreo will come pre-installed on the device. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. It will feature a 1.4GHz octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 430 (MSM8937) processor and come with 2GB of RAM.

Coming to the Moto G6 Plus, it is also a dual-SIM smartphone running Android 8.0 Oreo.
