'Bachelor' star Arie Luyendyk Jr. says he'll take heat for switching fiancees

Bachelor Nation was rattled when the star of season 22 of "The Bachelor", Arie Luyendyk Jr., called off his engagement with the show's victor, Becca K., only to propose to the runner-up Lauren B. Arie then proposed to Lauren during Tuesday's live taping of After the Final Rose, with Becca in attendance. "So I'm okay with showing the nasty and the ugly and the sad sometimes, because that's what makes the good stuff so good".

"Just to get closure, to move on".

"Lauren told me I'm four months late on this proposal, and I wanted to give it to her and I wanted everyone at home to share in it", he added.

"I made some bad decisions, but the best decision was running back to you". But she says, "I have questions, yes" because there's an hour of this left. "And takes everything in the situation aside and just focuses on her and that relationship and puts it all out there for her".

"Relationships aren't always pretty", he said.

Will watching Becca's season of The Bachelorette be in their future as well?

Now, obviously, the heart wants what it wants, and there's nothing more or less legitimate about Lauren now that we know she's been engaged (twice, actually) before.

"I do regret proposing that day, because I wasn't fully ready", Luyendyk admitted.

Well said, Chris. And now, we get to see Becca find her happily ever after on The Bachelorette, so isn't she the real victor in the end? "I've been in love in the past".

And in another shocking twist, Arie manages to leave this whole process smelling like a rose because how can you argue with love and heavy-handed production? I know I'll find it again'. Even Lane himself reportedly claimed that he was unsure of the former bachelor's commitment when the time came to design Kufrin's ring. "If a girl's feeling the butterflies for a guy already, when she gets into that state, her feelings just become more powerful, so she's probably more willing to tell that guy she loves him", she continued. She also retweeted a prescient comment from the start of the series that read: "The show would be ideal for @ariejr up until it comes to choosing just one".
