Thursday forecast: Sunny and seasonal

Areas of rain continue this morning, as mild temperatures hold steady with pockets of heavy fog. There will also be some lighter showers behind the cold front as temperatures drop to around 64 by 3 p.m.

We expect the clouds to gradually clear out. All eyes are on the line of storms now located along the I-20 corridor. Cooler temperatures around 40 are likely by sunrise. While it won't be as warm as the sunny streak earlier in the week, the timing is better for most. Clouds will increase Sunday as temperatures climb to the low 60s, Showers and isolated t-storms will increase after 9 PM from the west ahead of a cold front which moves through early Monday morning.

The early rain will help with the pollen levels Monday, but Tuesday the pollen count will jump back up. By sunset, any leftover showers or drizzle moves away and we'll usher in a drier and cooler night for Thursday into Friday.

Sunny skies and seasonable temperatures will be around Monday afternoon through Tuesday.

As we end next week, there will be another cold front that will bring some rain for Thursday, Friday and possibly Saturday. Good news is that this will not be anywhere as bad as the rain we had during the past week.

Highs will be right around 60 degrees with overnight lows in the chilly 20s and 30s from Friday through the weekend and the sun will stick around just as long.
