Well-known National Basketball Association agent Dan Fegan killed in auto accident

Dan Fegan, a renowned National Basketball Association agent, died in a vehicle accident on Sunday at 56, confirmed Colorado authorities.

Dan Fegan was driving an SUV when he was hit by a bus on Highway 82 around 9.22am Sunday, sources confirmed to the Aspen Times.

According to Erica Robbie of The Aspen News Dan Fegan was traveling in his SUV when it was hit by a bus on Highway 82 in Colorado.

Fegan was 56 years old.

In 2016, Fegan was ranked 23rd in Forbes' list of Sports Agents. There were two other passengers in the vehicle including Fegan's five-year-old son and a 29-year-old woman. The two sides filed lawsuits, with Fegan seeking $30 million in damages for fraud and intentional interference with contractual relations.

The bus driver and the one passenger on board reportedly were unhurt.

"My heart and prayers go out to the family, especially Dan's young son who was apparently injured in this accident".

Fegan's first client as a sports agent was his Yale Law School (he graduated from the school) fellow student and friend Chris Dudley. "We ask for privacy at this hard time", the statement added. "I knew I liked you since the moment we met", the Trail Blazers' Jusuf Nurkic wrote on Twitter. I am forever grateful for what you did for me and will never forget that. This isn't fair but i know you are in a better place and we will have a glass of red again someday.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban wrote in an email to the Aspen Times, "I loved Dan".

'I loved Dan. He was an awesome man. "Smart. (He) loved his son Braden more than anything in the world".
