And with a press event scheduled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 25, it looks like 2018 will be no different.

The phones will also come with Bixby, Samsung's intelligence platform at us AR and deep learning to do things like detect and identify objects and do live translations of written text. Phone Arena said that there could be a lens for wide-angle photography, another one for extremely low-light environments, and so on.

At this point, we've seen the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ so many times that it seems like Samsung announced them months ago.

The result is a refined version of last year's design, rather than a new paradigm.

Galaxy S9 is priced at $719.99 (Rs 46,600 approximately), and the top model will retail at $839.99 (Rs 54,400 approximately). The S9+ has a dual camera, versus the S9's single, giving it telephoto capabilities.

With the camera partnered with Samsung's "Bixby" personal assistant, the phone can translate any languages or signs at the push of a button. The headphone jack is still here, too. The rumor mill had leaked a real image of the Nokia 7 Plus Android One phone.

Now the bigger question is whether these discounts on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 32GB and 128GB variants make the device worthwhile?

The optics on the phone are still relevant, even if it's not comparable to the mighty Google Pixel 2 or iPhone X. There's a 12MP "Dual Pixel" rear camera sensor with f/1.7 aperture and smart OIS feature, which can shoot some great detailed photos.

Not to be outdone by Apple, the iPhone X and its Animoji, Samsung has launched the Galaxy S9 with a new feature called AR Emoji.

The S9 has been fitted with a 64-bit octa-core processor and sees 4GB or RAM.

As part of our ongoing #GTUMWC2018 coverage, we are striving hard to bring you the best MWC 2018 announcements as and when they happen. The phones are then expected to be made available for preorder on March 1st or March 2nd, ahead of their release on Friday, March 16th.

Both phones have 64 GB of internal storage, and the S9 has 4 GB of memory, while the S9+ has 6 GB. The package includes Knox security, security updates for up to four years while reinventing DeX and DeX Pad (a dock) in a flat form factor so that the S9 will be a more powerful enterprise smartphone that doubles as a touch pad when connected to a larger display.

In terms of power, Galaxy S9 packs a 3,000mAh battery, while Galaxy S9+ has a bigger 3,500mAh battery.
