Android Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy S8 is back on track

We couldn't independently verify this information with Samsung - Samsung declined to comment on this story - but as the Galaxy S9 unveil draws closer, concrete dates may have already been set in stone.

The rollout resumes just in time for Samsung to reveal the Galaxy S9 at Mobile World Congress in Spain this week. Samsung is expected to start shipping the devices as early as March 8. Vision AI was also trained on over 100 million images to help it better understand what it sees, and as a result, the camera can switch to a shooting mode appropriate for what's in front of it.

Expect to see more on the S9 at Samsung's event on February 25th. Hopefully this will later be opened up to anyone who has the app. Prices for the Galaxy S8 started at around $725 while the Galaxy S8+ started at $850. Today, the same device leaked again which confirms 16:10 screen of the tablet.

The OnePlus 5T sports a 16MP f/2.0 front camera which does a pretty decent job of taking selfies. Samsung has also previously used #TheNextGalaxy as a hashtag around Galaxy launches as well. The iPhone 7 comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, whereas the Samsung Galaxy S8 is equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The Galaxy S9+ next to it has a starting price of 997 euros.

Samsung Galaxy S9 flaunts a 5.8 inch Quad HD+ (1440 x 2960 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity Display at 570ppi. The video shows that the smartphones will come with improved low light performance along with variable aperture and Apple iPhone X-like Animojis. According to WinFuture, the two smartphones will go up for preorder on February 25, the same day as the unveiling, and will go on sale on March 8.

The latest report makes no mention of a headphone jack, but previous leaks indicated that the Galaxy S9 series will have a 3.5mm jack. Both the cameras will come with OIS and a combination of laser and Dual Pixel autofocus sensor.
