Samsung halts Oreo rollout to Galaxy S8 handsets due to rebooting issues

This refers to the "AKG-tuned" speakers we were already expecting to see on the device.

Another day, another sweet deal on one of Samsung's insane popular 2017 flagship phones in anticipation of Sunday's announcement of the first (two) 2018 Galaxy hero devices. Like a year ago, Samsung is selling two models: a 5.8-inch Galaxy S9 and a 6.2-inch Galaxy S9 Plus.

The S9 smartphones are expected to ship with two different processors, depending on region - Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chip in the USA and Samsung's latest Exynos 9810 chip in the United Kingdom and Europe. The first thing that's new here is that we will have a new Titanium Gray variant. Bixby can be activated by a dedicated button underneath those controlling the volume while a great novelty, made its appearance and should appeal to fans of the firm...

And for those concerned, the S9 will apparently still have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

On the topic of sound, multiple reports indicate that the phones will have stereo speakers, a welcome addition that was long overdue. This will be a new way of biometric authentication, besides the fingerprint scanner, which will make use of both facial recognition and iris scanning. Samsung Galaxy J family has become one of the most popular that the Korean brand has, achieving the balance between quality, performance, finish, and price for the consumer who does not want or cannot aspire to a high range. However, the recently leaked rumors reveal some details.

The 12 MP camera of the Galaxy S9 is expected to be the big change - it will have “variable aperture” that goes from f/1.5 to f/2.4 - perhaps the same as the one inside the W2018 flip phone that debuted in China late past year. For selfies, It comes with 8 Megapixel front camera. It looks like this year, Samsung has chose to do something similar to what Apple does with its iPhones, with only the Plus version featuring the dual cameras.

Considering that this phone isn't priced anywhere close to flagships from Samsung or Apple - or even LG and HTC - I think the camera's quality is justified.

Samsung has posted multiple teasers on some of its YouTube pages that seem to all but confirm these reports.

When talking about form, the common consensus is that the iPhone 8 did not veer away too much from the standard look of its predecessor, whereas the Galaxy S8 provides users with a sleeker look and feel.

The preorders, however, will begin on March 1, while on March 16 the deliveries should begin.
