Hours after Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti demanded a probe into the incident, Haryana police arrested 3 people on Saturday for allegedly assaulting two Kashmiri students in Mahendargarh district.

The attack took place when the students were returning to their Haryana Central University (HCU) campus after offering their evening prayers. Both the Kashmiri students are residents of Rajouri in Jammu region and are pursuing MSc (geography) from the same college.

She asked the students that whenever they go outside university for any goal, they should make entry at the main gate and also inform at the nearest police station.
