Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Keeps $40 Edition After Fan Backlash

These changes officially arrive on February 13, 2018, applying only to new purchases of the game and have zero effect on current players. It includes everything from the Standard edition but with 600 Rainbow Six Credits and 10 Outbreak Collection packs.

Just like the one from last year, this year's Gold Edition will apparently include everything that is available with the Advanced Edition with an added Season Pass for this year. Both editions are seeing a price hike as well, with Gold costing $89.99 and the Complete Edition coming in at $129.99 The Standard Edition remains largely unchanged as a PC exclusive, but features more expensive operator unlocks.

Over 25 million players have experienced the intensity of Rainbow Six Siege, and if you're interested in seeing what all the excitement is about, you'll soon have an array of new editions packed with bonus content to choose from.

Finally, the Complete Edition of Siege will now cost $130, up from $110 previously. Outbreak Packs are a new paid loot box system that offers cosmetic items and promises no duplicates.

Additionally, Ubisoft said it has been listening to concerns about the rate at which players that buy the $15 Starter Edition of the game unlock new operators (it's very slow, which makes the edition hard to recommend). The Ash Sidewinder Elite will be automatically granted to your inventory at the launch of Year 3 Season 1.

This is a limited-time event, and most people probably won't find their ultimate goal in containing the outbreak. What makes it different is its inclusion of 10 Outbreak packs, which will be expanded upon below. What this means is, if you acquire 50 Outbreak Packs, we guarantee that you will have the entire Collection, including the Elite Uniform. The collection packs will contain cosmetic items in which the added $20 value is likely to be made up for, but only because Siege has a disgusting tendency to overprice its cosmetics beyond belief. These can be acquired with 300 R6 credits, the in game currency. Players who log into the game during the Outbreak event will receive four Outbreak packs immediately. In short, absolutely everything released for the game to date. A player can also get four packs by logging-in during the event.

Those who purchased the Year 2 Complete Edition gets everything at the time of purchase.
