Trump Attorney Arranged $130K Hush Agreement With Porn Star

Donald Trump's lawyer arranged a payment of $130,000 in hush money to adult film performer Stormy Daniels (aka Stephanie Clifford) in October 2016, one month before the USA presidential election, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

Clifford and Trump's attorney Michael Cohen-a former attorney for the Trump Organization-arranged the $130,000 along with a nondisclosure agreement.

According to the paper, Clifford said "privately" the encounter with Trump took place during a July 2006 celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, a year after Trump married his wife, Melania. She was 27 years old at the time, and Mr. Trump would have just turned 60.

A White House official told the Wall Street Journal: "These are old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election".

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, is a former adult-film star who allegedly had a sexual encounter with Trump.

Numerous women have accused Mr Trump of unwanted sexual advances, allegations Mr Trump has consistently rejected as false. The Journal said the payment was made to a client-trust account at City National Bank in Los Angeles.

According to The Journal, which cited unnamed sources familiar with the matter, Cohen and the Trump team made the payment to Clifford after learning that she was preparing for an interview with ABC News to discuss her encounters with the Republican.

Cohen told the Journal in a statement that Trump "once again vehemently denies" the encounter, but did not comment on the alleged $130,00 payment.

It was not confirmed whether the president was aware of an agreement with Ms. Clifford or payment that was provided to her.

"Rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false", reads the statement, signed by Stormy Daniels. The statement, to repeat, was emailed by Cohen. In fact, Clifford confided to friends that she engaged in a sexual affair with Trump, whom she claimed had promised to help her get cast on "The Apprentice" or another TV show. He referred to the infamous "grab them by the pussy" Access Hollywood tape from 2005 as "locker room banter".

In a meeting last fall, the president apparently said that a female intelligence expert should be assisting the U.S.in its negotiations with North Korea purely because of her Korean heritage, NBC News reported.
