Marvel's Runaways and Future Man Renewed at Hulu

The season one finale runs January 9.

THR reports that Hulu has issued season 2 renewal orders for both Future Man and Marvel's Runaways. No production schedule was given for these new shows, and it remains unclear when the new seasons will debut on the Hulu streaming service.

Hulu has picked up Marvel's Runaways and Sony's Future Man for second seasons of 13 episodes each.

"Every teenager thinks their parents are evil", Hulu says in today's announcement. Now that we know a second season on the way, there's never been a better time to jump in. Julian McMahon also stars as Jonah, a pivotal player in the Runaways' rebellion against their parents. Gregg Sulkin leads the cast of the Marvel Television and ABC Signature project that counts Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory and Fake Empire's Lis Rowinski among its producers. It is the story of six diverse teens who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe-their parents.

Future Man stars Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games film franchise), Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings), Derek Wilson (Preacher), Ed Begley Jr. This matches Future Man's first season run but is an increase in episodes for Runaways, which only had 10 episodes in its premiere season. The sci-fi series was created by Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir (Sausage Party), with Hunter, Shaffier, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Matt Tolmach, James Weaver, and Ben Karlin executive producing.

Future Man focuses on Josh Futturman who is a janitor by day and a gamer by night. It is Marvel's first Hulu TV show and it's success could potentially mean more collaborations between Marvel and Hulu.
