Showtime releases trailer for animated comedy series Our Cartoon President

The first trailer for Our Cartoon President hilariously depicts Colbert's Donald Trump caricature as he navigates hard presidential decisions, romance, and family life.

Stephen Colbert has found a comedy gold mine in Donald Trump.

Fans of cartoon political satire might remember Comedy Central's 2007 effort with Lil' Bush, a show that inspired only the weakest of connections to politics in its brief 2-season run, but fear not: Our Cartoon President promises to take things up a notch to match the increasing unreality of this sad, unusual moment in the United States of America. His late-night ratings soared once he started using the president as his punching bag.

The rapid comings and goings of figures in the administration presents an ongoing challenge for top executive R.J. Fried and his team.

"Our Cartoon President", which previews on January 28 before it premieres on February 11, tells narrative stories about Trump and his family presented as if a documentary crew was in the White House.

The show officially debuts on Sunday, Feb. 11, at 8/7c. "We're not putting a lot of animation time into Rex Tillerson".

"I have this great thing where I get to go out to the audience and we have this shared catharsis to laugh at, Colbert said". Colbert is so amped, so concentrated on jeering at Trump. That's what he means by, "I love my country more than I love a good joke".

About Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, Michael Wolff's book published last Friday, he said, "I think Michael Wolff stole our first 10 episodes". Wolff's book tells you that what you imagine life in Trump's White House is like after the cameras are turned off. Turns out what you imagined is what it's really like.
