Reliance Jio vs Airtel vs Vodafone

In the Q4 of a year ago, telecom operator Airtel announced two new tariff plans priced at ₹448 and ₹509 respectively for its prepaid customers which offered benefits like free voice calls and 1 GB data per day.

On a recharge of Rs 448, the users will get 126 GB data for a validity of 84 days.

Along with those, the existing Jio Rs 399 plan will offer 20% more data and validity from next week.

The Rs 509 plan, offers a validity of 91 days similar to the one provided by Reliance Jio but with more validity.

Earlier, Airtel's Rs 448 plan used to offer a validity of 70 days, where users would get 70GB 4G data on a 1GB-per-day basis along with unlimited local and STD calls (250 minutes per day or 1,000 minutes per week).

Besides, the plan also offers free outgoing and incoming on national roaming calls, and 100 free local + STD SMS per day. Under the new offer, Jio is giving users a total of 28GB 4G data for 28 days for as low as Rs 149. India' second largest telecom operator has now increased the validity of its two long-validity plans- Rs 458 and Rs 509. The validity of this plan will be 84 days. This also means users will get 82GB of 4G data as the pack offers 1GB per day. The telco now offers either 50 per cent more data or has cut down the tariff of the plan by Rs 50. The validity of this pack, too, remains the same, 91 days.

Airtel has made a decision to also provide unlimited calling facility to its users but with "terms and conditions"; voice calls limited to 300 minutes per day and 1200 minutes per week.

Airtel's Rs 549 recharge offer gives users 84GB data for 28 days. Apart from this, users will get unlimited voice calls on local and STD networks. This means what Jio was offering at Rs. 399 prepaid recharge plan will now be available at Rs. 349 only. This plan was launched to cater to the demand of high-data-consuming users.
