Flight of the Conchords Plot New HBO Special

New Zealand natives Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement-better known as Flight Of The Conchords-developed a worldwide cult following after their BBC radio series was turned into a TV show by HBO in 2007, showcasing their unassuming yet hilarious blend of music and comedy. Are you looking forward to more Flight of the Conchords?

Clement told IndieWire the special will be timed alongside their upcoming United Kingdom tour. In 2016, the duo went on tour throughout North America, their first since the show's cancellation in 2009.

The possibility of a Flight of the Conchords movie has been in the works, dismissed, and back in the works a few times over the years-this might be what fans have been waiting for. "The trickiest thing about touring again is getting used to your instrument again". We'd love another comedy special like their "One Night Stand", which would feature their newest songs.

"It's pretty close, we're going to film a pilot", said Clement, who declined to identify the outlet. Clement said he wouldn't appear in the US show, but is writing it. "It was really fun but tiring, we'd start at 2 or 3 in the afternoon and then finish 12 hours later".

However he has just finished shooting Wellington Paranormal, a spin-off from What We Do In The Shadows, with the Taika Waititi, who co-wrote, directed and starred in the original with him.
