Trump says he's delaying 'Fake News Awards' until mid-January

The awards ceremony will now be on Wednesday, January 17th.

Taking to Twitter, where he often does his little rants, Trump said that he will announce on this coming Monday his new - in all capital letters - "MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR".

Trump had on last Tuesday said that the awards would be announced on January 15.

Stephen Colbert in particular is very animated about the awards, tweeting, "So excited for Monday's "MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR!"

The 71-year-old said he would be handing out his "dishonest media" awards in various "fake media" categories, ranging from "dishonest" to "bad reporting".

Trump frequently rails on the media and accuses reporters and networks of being "fake news".

It's more like that wrestling video in which Trump body-slams a guy with a CNN head-something that will excite his base, which already distrusts the press and loves the president's media-bashing. They are all bad. The email read, "At President Trump's request, we are holding a contest to name the 2017 KING of Fake News".

The Trump campaign further said that the Americans are exhausted of being lied to.

As per the Trump Campaign list, the competition for "King of Fame news" is between three news organisations.

"CNN "MISTAKENLY" reported that candidate Donald Trump and his son Donald J. Trump, Jr. had access to hacked documents from WikiLeaks, it wrote".
