Fire at Home of Roy Moore Accuser Being Investigated for Arson

Etowah County added that the fire did not appear to be related to Roy Moore or the allegations made against him by Johnson and others.

While the Etowah County Arson Task Force also reports their investigation does not lead them to believe the fire is related to Roy Moore or the allegations against him, they do not say how they were able to determine that so quickly.

Johnson claims Roy Moore groped her rear at his office over two decades ago.

On Tuesday morning, Johnson's home in Gadsen, Alabama went up in flames and the blaze is now being investigated for arson.

Multiple neighbors witnessed a young man known for public intoxication walking around the house during the time of the fire. "We have just the clothes on our backs". According to the article, Johnson told AL.com she was in Moore's office (who was a judge at the time) to sign over custody of her son to her mother.

"He's been trouble in the neighborhood for a while", Tallant said. "I got up there", he said, "and (the fire) was already pretty well started".

Johnson, who is presently staying in a motel, was told by a neighbor that the suspect in question made a comment wondering if the house was going to burn that morning.

Another neighbor said the man authorities are investigating "approached her as she was getting in her auto that morning and asked if she thought Johnson's house was going to burn".

"It's too coincidental to me, but whatever they say, I'll go with".

"I like people like that", he said.

Johnson and her family are now living in a motel. The neighbor didn't know what he was talking about, she said, because flames weren't visible at the time. "They're pulling together and helping us out".
