Powerball numbers: Did you win Saturday's $390.1 million lottery jackpot?

The cash value of tonight's jackpot is $242.9 million.

It's time to check your tickets for the Powerball drawing from Saturday night, December 30, otherwise known as the "New Year's Eve (eve)" drawing.

The winning numbers drawn for Saturday's (Dec. 31) Powerball jackpot are 28, 36, 41, 51, and 58 and the Powerball number is 24. The odds on that ticket were 11,688,053.52 to 1, according to the Powerball website.

The estimated jackpot is $390.1 million.

A Powerball ticket purchased in Iowa won $1 million in Saturday's drawing. In August, an IL player won a $393 million jackpot.

Despite the mountains of zeros attached to both lottery games' jackpots this week, neither of the current amounts is a record-setter, as CNBC reported. IL lotto player Patricia Busking nabbed the Mega Millions in mid-August, taking home $393 million.

Five Iowa Lottery players have now claimed prizes of at least $1 million in calendar year 2017, all of them in the Powerball game.

After the Powerball changes went into effect, a $1.6 billion prize was shared by three people in January 2016 and a MA woman won a $758.7 million jackpot in August.

The largest jackpot in Mega Millions history was $656 million for the March 30, 2012, drawing. The first drawing of 2018 will be Wednesday.

Chances of winning the jackpot are 1-in-292 million.
