Airtel's revised Rs 799 plan offers 98GB data

Prepaid subscribers can now look forward to 3.5GB data per day with the Airtel's Rs799 plan, up from the original 3GB a day.

Both the operators offer 28 days validity to the top-up pack. That's quite a lot of internet access, making it ideal for heavy-duty subscribers who need a steady flow of data to keep up with their activity.

The benefits of unlimited local and national calling along with 100 SMSes per day too remain as earlier. That's how Airtel ends up providing 14GB more data than Jio for the same price. Taking this into account, the above mentioned benefits could be available at Rs 724.

Airtel's Rs 799 plan, which originally offered 3 GB of 4G data, will now give 3.5 GB data per day. This has been revised to 2GB data per day.

It may be worth noting that like other packs, the "unlimited" calls in the Airtel Rs799 pack are restricted to 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week, which applies to both local and STD calls. Recently, Airtel also revamped its Rs 349 and Rs 549 plan.

Jio Rs 459 prepaid unlimited dataJio's Rs 459 prepaid recharge plan offers high speed data of 84GBs with a daily 4G data limit of 1GB.

The ongoing tussle between the leading telecom operators in India took an exciting turn in the last fortnight of 2017 when Jio launched their Happy New Year 2018 plans. The new data plan comes with the validity of 10 days. Overall, Airtel offers a total of 98GB of 3G/4G data for 28 days. However, the plans are valid for a longer period but the data offered is less when compared to the plan rolled out by Airtel. But Jio changed the game by offering the same benefits for Rs 299.
