UFC 219: Cris Cyborg Declares 'I'm Still The Champion'

Since joining the UFC roster in May of 2016, she has mauled Leslie Smith and Lina Lansberg in 140-pound catchweight bouts, and Tonya Evinger and Holm in featherweight title fights. At UFC 219, she saw the best competition of her career in boxing and kickboxing champion Holly Holm. The Ronda Rousey killer herself.

As the fight developed Holm had taken a huge beating and it became clear Cyborg was the victor, however the challenger continued to land blows until the end. She landed with her jab and right hand time and time again, perhaps having her greatest success with the latter shot when she allowed 'The Preacher's Daughter to lead.

Holm appeared finished after the third when she was saved by the bell, but showed resilience and heart to make it through the final two rounds against the relentless aggression of Cyborg. She was pushed the full five rounds for the first time in her career, but still came out with her 19th career win - and 20th consecutive fight without being defeated.

Holm (14-4) has now lost three of her past four fights, three of them via decision.

The three judges scored the bout 49-46, 48-47, and 48-47 in favour of Cyborg.

"I want to fight somebody at 145, maybe Megan Anderson", added Cyborg, who tallied 131 strikes compared to Holm's 48.

But McGregor took to social media to fire back and implied that he sees plenty of holes in the unbeaten 29-year-old's game.

Anderson seemed very much up for the fight as well.

Here is how Twitter reacted to Justino's performance and the scoring, which some thought was too narrow and others, surprisingly, just plain wrong...
