LG V30 and V30 Plus now receiving Android Oreo update

Xiaomi has been testing Android Oreo beta on the Mi A1 and it looks like this update will bring fast charging feature along with faster app uploads.

In the announcement, LG says it implemented feedback from over 500 customers enrolled in the beta program, with the company optimizing the software for a smoother experience. Fast forward more than a month and Android 8.0 is now rolling out to all V30 users. However, LG - as of yet hasn't revealed the timeline on when the LG V30 users in other market will get the Oreo update.

The smartphones run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system right out of the box. It included all of the features that Oreo brought to the table. The Mi A1's highlight is the dual rear camera setup, and there might be some improvements to the camera performance with the Oreo update as well. The company said that they have taken into consideration all the opinions in order to provide more optimised services to V30 users.

LG V30 and V30 Plus have the same features save for the internal storage capacity.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, the smartphone offer 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 2TB via the microSD card slot. The primary camera includes a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, while the secondary camera comes with 13-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.9. LG V30 is backed by a 3300mAh non-removable battery. The smartphone has a 5-megapixel front sensor for selfies and video calling.
