Multiple deputies injured after shots fired in incident in Denver suburb

The Douglas County sheriff's office said officers responded to a call for a domestic disturbance in an apartment complex in the early-morning hours.

Authorities in Colorado say one deputy has died and four others were wounded, along with two civilians, in a shooting in suburban Denver. Two civilians were also said to have been shot.

The nature of the injuries and the number of officers involved was not immediately known. However, the suspect has been shot and is believed to be dead. While they were investigating, shots were fired.
