Here is the first official Ready Player One trailer

It's a re-adaptation from the famous book written by Ernest Cline.

Ready Player One, the Ernest Cline book sensation that was, in part, the inspiration for Oculus VR, has been turned into a movie ready to hit the big screen in March. It chronicles Wade Watts' (played by Tye Sheridan) quest of finding an esteemed easter-egg left behind by technologic genius James Halliday (Mark Rylance).

Following the sneak peek from Comic Con, the new trailer focuses on the contrast between overpopulated Columbus, Ohio in 2045 - where Ty Sheridan's protagonist lives in "the Stacks", a towering city of mobile homes - and "the Oasis", a paradise of endless possibilities where society goes to escape.

The film follows the story of a teenager who gets caught up in an adventure to save a virtual world known as the Oasis. There are multiple points where you just stop reading, roll your eyes, and say out loud to no one in particular, "Yes, I too like 80s pop culture".

Steven Spielberg, prolific veteran of the craft that he is, made two movies this year-though we'll have to wait a few months to see the second one. In one of the frames we saw a character that resembled Boba Fett from Star Wars but we can't confirm it is him.

The latest trailer for the movie offers the best look yet at the OASIS, with the most complete look at Sheriden's virtual avatar Parzival.

Without even trying, we spotted Chun-Li from Street Fighter, Tracer from Overwatch, and possibly Greybeard from Skyrim? It would also be cool if the characters were to talk in their original voices.

Also starring Simon Pegg and T.J. Miller, it's out across the United Kingdom on March 30, 2018.

Cline added that he had bounced some ideas off of Spielberg, but didn't provide any specifics about what the sequel would entail.
