Season Eight to Be Released in 2019, According to Sophie Turner

Every year starting with 2011 we've had a new season of Game of Thrones, and we all hoped that the final season will arrive in 2018, right on schedule.

Since Game of Thrones' seventh season ended in August, anticipation has been high for the hit show's next and final installment.

HBO is bringing "Game of Thrones" to the big screen by screening the most action-packed episode from the seventh season, plus never-before-seen bonus content, in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The show is such a monster to film, though, that 2019 is probably the better bet. We knew there was a chance HBO would hold the final season longer than usual; via Variety, Sansa just confirmed that's exactly what's happening.

"I'm really excited. Game of Thrones comes out in 2019", she said. They were in control of the North again, ' Turner said. "And without Little finger, it's a test for her of whether she can get through it", she told Variety.

The actress revealed that her character, Sansa Stark, won't be coasting as the series wraps up, as she has a "big challenge" on the horizon in season eight, despite being in the catbird seat as season seven drew to a close.

When Hibberd asked if "the final season could air in 2018 and/or in 2019 depending on [Weiss and Benioff's] needs", Bloys said, "Yeah".

"I learned to act watching Lena [Headey] and Peter [Dinklage] and Maisie [Williams] and Kit [Harington] and all of these different people".

Live like part of the Stark family with this great chance to win a weekend stay in Northern Ireland for two, equipped with an authentic tour of some of the most well-known Game of Thrones shooting locations, including the iconic Dark Hedges aka Kingsroad.

Although typically just in charge of overseeing the writer's room and scripting the bulk of the show's more significant episodes, Benioff and Weiss have directed one episode each since Game of Throne's inception. The thought of not working with them is nearly excruciating to me. 'This season is more a passionate fight for her than a political, manipulative kind of fight'. "We're all trying not to take it for granted anymore". "They've been my growing up".
