She told the New York Times she recently learned the 65-year-old mentioned her name in 2000 while urging one starlet that complying with his requests would be "the best thing you can do for your career".

According to the Associated Press, six women are suing the disgraced film producer and allege a coalition of companies and individual enablers helped Weinstein hide his misconduct. As far as Ms. Dunham could tell, the campaign had not responded to her concerns about Mr. Weinstein.

In a new New York Times report, Lena Dunham claims that she warned Hillary Clinton's communications director about Harvey Weinstein's behavior.

The lawsuit says: "The Weinstein Sexual Enterprise had many participants, grew over time as the obfuscation of Weinstein's conduct became more hard to hide".

SIX women have sued Hollywood movie monster Harvey Weinstein - claiming that his actions to cover up sex assaults amounted to civil racketeering. Weinstein allegedly lured actresses and other women to industry events, hotel rooms, his home or private auditions often under pretenses of potential roles in films.

Weinstein has been accused of sexual harassment and assault by more than 100 women.

Weinstein, 65, was sacked from the film company he founded after The New York Times published accounts of several women.

In Paltrow's case, she was 22 and in Weinstein's Beverly Hills hotel room for a meeting when he put his hands on her and invited her to go to the bedroom for massages, according to a Times story published in October.

Weinstein repeated his denials of misconduct Wednesday.

In numerous alleged incidents, women said that Weinstein invited them into his hotel room under the guise of a professional meeting, but then asked them for massages or sex. They announced this on NBC's Today show. Al Franken, Rep. John Conyers and Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore have also been accused of sexual misconduct.
