76ers trading Jahlil Okafor to the Nets

As part of the deal, Okafor would join the Nets along with Nik Stauskas and a future second-round pick in exchange for Trevor Booker. The have been and need to continue piling up outcasted players as they try to rise from the graveyard they were buried at by the Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce trade in 2013.

An NBA trade is about to go down.

. Okafor has played only 12 minutes and Stauskas has played in only 6 games.

Okafor fell victim to a numbers game over the past year, slipping behind a healthy Joel Embiid, Richaun Holmes and even Amir Johnson this season. He was ultimately traded to the Mavericks during last season's trade deadline and while the trade looks a tiny bit better knowing what we know now, it was still an underwhelming trade.

"I know it's business, but in my eyes, I don't know if it's good business".

Last month, Okafor told ESPN that he's been wasted on the bench this season as the Sixers refused to agree to a buyout or trade him prior to Thursday.

The Sixers drafted Okafor third overall in the 2015 NBA Draft and he averaged 17.5 points and 7.0 rebounds over 53 games while earning first-team All-NBA Rookie team honors during his first season.

"This is my third year in the National Basketball Association, and I know it's a business", Okafor said.

Okafor, a former Duke star, should finally see the playing time he's been begging for since he was drafted.
