Cougars Return to Holiday Bowl to Face Michigan State

Sunday afternoon it was announced that Michigan would take on SC in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day and Michigan State would be taking on Washington State in the Holiday Bowl.

It doesn't seem likely that Michigan State's Mark Dantonio and Michigan's Jim Harbaugh will be exchanging Christmas cards this years. This year, the Spartans are 16th and Cougars 18th in the latest college football playoff rankings. The Spartans concluded the regular season with victories over Maryland and Rutgers, tying Penn State for second in the Big Ten Conference's seven-team East Division, one game behind division champion Ohio State.

The "off field issues" Harbaugh is referencing the are 13 players who left the team before the start of the 2017 season, including the four players dismissed after being charged for sexual assault.

"Washington State is excited to be invited to the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl", said WSU Interim Director of Athletics John Johnson. Miles Bridgers is putting up 15 points and 6.7 rebounds per game to lead the team while Cassius Winston is adding 12.9 points and 7.4 assists per game. I am just focused on the Holiday Bowl game. This year's game between Washington State and Michigan State is scheduled for December 28. Fans may also call the Cougar Ticket Office at 1-800-GO-COUGS starting at 9 a.m., Monday morning. The game will be televised nationally on FS1.
