A ridge in the upper levels of the atmosphere builds across the East starting Monday. Rain and thunderstorms are likely on Monday and Tuesday.

WEDNESDAY: A few rain showers mixed with snow will be possible on Wednesday, with a chilly high temperature of 42 degrees. It isn't looking like a washout, but showers roll in as the day progresses.

A stronger cold front is projected to move through Tuesday.
