Amber Alert issued for missing 3-year-old girl from Onslow County

Mariah's mother checked on her about 11 p.m. Sunday, she said.

Mariah Woods is a white girl with brown hair and blue eyes, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's AMBER Alert Program. On Tuesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation issued an official missing person poster for the girl, Mariah Woods. A person wearing a protective suit was also seen searching under the home.

Residents and friends attended an evening service at Folkstone Original Free Will Baptist Church. "They are having some rough moments".

"[Officials are] working everything that can be worked to find this little girl", Jacksonville Sheriff Hans Miller said during a press conference Monday.

When asked It's believed that the case was cause for concern for other local parents, Miller said they believe it was a focused incident at this point. Long said the girl in the picture is not Mariah Kay Woods, who has been missing since Sunday, but her daughter.

Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that could help investigators determined what may have happened to the young child.

The girl's grandmother was the one who initially discovered that Mariah was not in her room when she went to check in on her in the morning.
