Super Nintendo stock update for Cyber Monday 2017

Hot on the heals of 2016's excellent NES Classic Mini is the obvious SNES Classic Mini, or Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System if you want the full name.

Toys R Us, for instance, has confirmed that it'll be getting the SNES Classic in on Monday, November 27 - that's the day otherwise known as Cyber Monday.

They have the SNES Classic Mini priced at £119.99, which is considerably more than the usual price of £69.99 or £79.99.

Although stock numbers have not been revealed through the retailer's press release, the company has stated that it will be limited to one per customer and that the product will not be available through its website.

Do you still need a SNES Classic on your gaming shelf?

On the other hand, Express reported very early on that the Nintendo online store in the United Kingdom has put SNES Classic Edition units on sale, obviously in its European version, on the occasion of Black Friday.

It may sound unusual but it appears shoppers might still be able to enjoy a Cyber Monday discount by using the retailers Buy Online, Pickup In-Store service. The retro console can only be purchased through physical stores, though, so gamers will have to fall in line.

Just as it did when the SNES Classic launched, Best Buy is using a ticketing system, if you get a ticket you get a console.

This mini system includes 21 pre-installed games, from Super Mario Kart to Street Fighter II.
