Twitter Testing all-new Feature - Bookmarks, Might Release Soon

Twitter has started testing a new "Bookmarks" feature that allows its users to privately save tweets for reading them later.

"We went through all the designed flows and picked the ones that are the easiest to navigate to test out with our community", she tweeted. However, it is a useful feature that we're sure that Twitter fans will take advantage of once it has been officially added to the app.

Back to this week's announcement - late on Thursday, Tina Koyama, a staff product designer at the company, tweeted, "News from the #SaveForLater team!"

The social media platform has not commented about the feature besides tweeting some of the details about it.

Referred to as "Save for Later", the new feature could save users from liking and retweeting to bookmark things. Keith Coleman, Head of Product, had tweeted that the new feature #SaveForLater was in the works.

Evaluating by what Twitter has been screening off so far, the bookmarking device might emerge in a menu in the foot of the right angle of a Tweet on mobile, or in the v drop-down menu in the upper right corner on the processor.

Jesar Shah from Twitter said the feature was popularly requested by users, adding that many people, "especially in Japan", had asked for this ability.

At this point in time, there is no word on when we might see Bookmarks rollout to Twitter users world-wide.

Presently, if you do want to save a tweet, the only way you can is to hit the like button as a way to save a tweet.

Earlier in the month, Twitter had extended its character limit to 280 character from 140 and changed the rules for verified Twitter accounts.
