Ryan Murder Case: Conductor's Wife Alleges he was Tortured By Police

The Haryana Police had claimed that the child was murdered by the bus conductor allegedly after he failed to sodomise the boy. He seems to have partially lost use of his legs.Ashok Kumar was released on bail yesterday from a prison where he spent 72 days. "Ashok told me that while he was in Gurugram Police custody, he was mercilessly beaten up on his chest".

After he was freed from the Bhondsi jail, Kumar went straight to his house in Ghambroj village in Sohna. "We have made a decision to file a case against Gurugram Police Special Investigation Team officers who framed and used torture and even drugged him to confess before the media that he had committed the crime", Ashok's father Amirchand had said.

The investigation into Pradyuman's murder took a dramatic twist on 8 November, when the CBI arrested the Class 11 student, also of Ryan International School, and charged him with murdering the young boy in the school washroom.

A Gurugram-based district court had granted him bail on Tuesday.

"We knew from the beginning that he wasn't involved in the murder".

Speaking to ANI, Verma said, "The CBI has not been able to present any evidence against him (Ashok)".

She also said, Ashok said her that a madam ordered him to carry on the body (Pradyuman's body) in the auto and that he just helped. "The police told him it's a small case and they will cover it accordingly". "The Gurgaon Police did not carry out a proper investigation", she added.

Kumar's uncle Omprakash Chopra was summoned by CBI on Tuesday, after an audio clip, purportedly of him talking to a family member of the juvenile suspect, was circulated on messenger platforms.

The CBI on Monday submitted the DNA report in court.

At the same time, the agency opposed Kumar's bail plea in court saying it could not give him a clean chit until its probe was complete.
