The New Colossus trio of DLCs get release dates, details

Bethesda and MachineGames have revealed the Freedom Chronicles, a four-part post-launch campaign DLC series that takes players to the early alternate World War II timeline and introduces three absolutely awesome new characters: Joseph Stallion, Captain Wilkins, and the femme fatale Agent Silent Death.

The first episode, which is The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe, will launch on December 14, following Joseph Stallion through the ruins of Chicago all the way into space.

"Episode Zero introduces you to Joseph Stallion, Jessica Valiant and Gerald Wilkins as they fight for freedom in the American Territories".

The prologue episode, Episode Zero, is now available to Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus players who pre-ordered the game, and to season pass holders. The Freedom Chronicles were announced over the summer, and now three out of its four episodes have a launch date; together, the episodes make up Wolfenstein II's $25 season pass.

According to Bethesda, the DLC will offer "a trio of fresh perspectives" on the Wolfenstein universe while they "give players a chance make America Nazi-free again". In this case, the DLC may be worth the price of admission, as Bethesda is promising that the various expansions will add more than nine hours of play time to the already-expansive single-player offerings of the core game. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The second piece of content promises to put a premium on stealth, as it stars assassin Jessica Valiant aiming to infiltrate bunkers in California.

The final DLC pack, "The Amazing Deeds of Captain Wilkins", will arrive sometime March, centering on US Army hero Captain Gerald Wilkins, who embarks on a mission to Alaska to stop Nazi Operation Black Sun.
