Michael Felger Apologizes For 'Dumb Hyperbole' In Roy Halladay Comments

- A Boston sports radio personality is apologizing for a rant about former baseball star Roy Halladay's death in a plane crash this week.

Today, 24-hours later, Felger apologized on air.

But, there always has to be a jackass in the crowd and that was certainly the case as Boston sports radio host Michael Felger made some comments about Halladay that would make even the most insensitive person shake their head in disgust. Besides, the only folks that I would really want to extend that to are the loved ones of Halladay.

In his 98.5 The Sports Hub program on November 8, Felger called Halladay a "moron" and a "jackass", according to the sports site Awful Announcing, which posted an 11-minute clip of Felger's comments. They're the ones dealing with enough right now not to have to have me come over the top and do what I did (Wednesday). So, sorry doesn't do that justice as it relates to them. I'm gonna tweet it. Splat.

He said he felt "bad about what happened on a lot of levels". "I don't feel good about it".

Roy Halladay, a two-time Cy Young Award victor who pitched a flawless game and a playoff no-hitter, died Tuesday when his private plane crashed into the Gulf of Mexico.

"I find that offensive, that you are that cavalier about life". "I think what I've gotten I deserved". "I got no sympathy for you".
