EXTRA: Plane makes emergency landing after woman discovers husband's affair

A Central Industrial Security Force official in India confirmed the incident, saying, "On November 5, at about 10am [local time (4.30am United Kingdom time)], Qatar Airways flight QR-962 [from Doha to Bali] was diverted to Chennai".

Officials of Qatar Airways must now admit that there is a lot of truth in the Shakespearean line that "hell hath no fury than a woman scorned" or cheated upon by her man.

Subsequently, the pilot of the global airline sought permission to make an unscheduled stopover at Chennai and later offloaded the couple along with their child before resuming the journey to Bali in Indonesia, the officials said.

The woman had unlocked her husband's phone using his thumb impression when he was sleeping and then blew her top after discovering his infidelity.

The pilot was then forced to land the plan at Chennai Airport.

At this point the woman, reportedly "a few drinks in", began fighting with her husband (I guess he woke up) and "misbehaved" with the crew members who were attempting to mollify her. They dropped the trio off in Chennai, India, which is about halfway between Doha and Bali. "A lady along with her husband and a child, all Iranian nationals, were offloaded by Qatar Airline..."

"The family was de-boarded due to the ruckus created by her but no FIR was registered as there was no security issue".

The family was said to have spent a day at the airport.

According to reports, the woman had already been drinking before she boarded the flight from Iran to Bali on Sunday Nov. 5.

Qatar Airways, meanwhile, declined to comment. "No police action was taken", an unnamed source told the newspaper.
