Uma Thurman Gives Powerful Response When Asked About Sexual Misconduct In Hollywood

As the breadth of accusations against Harvey Weinstein seem to grow exponentially, more Hollywood fixtures are speaking out about their experiences with sexual harassment and more.

Also this weekend, on the red carpet for Uma Thurman's new Broadway play, Access Hollywood asked Thurman about "women speaking out in the workplace".

"Unfortunately, I'm the prey", is how she ends the interview.

"I don't have a tidy soundbite for you, because I've learned - I am not a child - and I've learned that when I've spoken in anger, I usually regret the way that I express myself", Thurman said.

The five-foot-11 beauty said 'I've been waiting to feel less angry, ' adding, 'When I'm ready, I'll say what I have to say'.

Thurman has worked several times with Harvey Weinstein, who is facing almost 100 accusations of sexual impropriety, from harassment to sexual assault and rape, though he has denied the allegations.

"I think it's commendable", she said of the public statements made in recent weeks against Weinstein by stars including Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow. And, during the production of "Pulp Fiction", Thurman was dating Italian film businessman Fabrizio Lombardo, a man who has recently been accused of knowingly leading women into private meetings with Weinstein.

Tarantino previously revealed he had known about Weinsteins behaviour for years after his then-girlfriend Mira Sorvino told him she had an alleged incident with the producer.

"I feel a moral obligation to support the women who have suffered much more egregious transgressions".
