Three militants,solider killed in Pulwama encounter

An Army jawan was killed during an encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, police said.

On November 2, two army troopers and a militant were killed in an encounter in Pampore area of the same district. The encounter had ended with the gunning down of a militant. The security forces also killed three militants in the operation.

They said that the three militants were involved in an attack on Police party in which a constable of J&K police was killed.

The reports said that the CRPF jawans came down of their vehicles and fired teargas canisters to push the stone-pelters, triggering clashes. He identified the victim as Sham Sundar, who had sustained bullet injuries during initial exchange of fire with militants and was referred to Army hospital in Srinagar, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, Internet facility in Pulwama district has been suspended to check the spread of rumours in the area with security reinforcement have reached to plug the possible escape routes for the hiding terrorists.
