Buhari, Ameachi, Fayose commiserate with Tinubu over Son's Death

Former Lagos State Governor and one of Nigeria's most respected politicians, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has lost his son, Jide to the cold hands of death.

Jide, the first son of the APC national leader, in his 30s, died of heart attack on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Lagos and had since been buried.

Tinubu was said to have departed Lagos barely 48 hours after his son, Jide, was pronounced dead by medical doctors at the Lagos Island General Hospital, Lagos state.

It's with regrets that I inform you of the demise of Mr. Jide Tinubu, the Son of Our dear and esteemed Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

During the condolence visit, of Alhaji Lawal Animashaun, the APC Divisional Chairman in Ikorodu, urged Tinubu to take heart.

He also had brief stints with Cargo Maritime, Paris, France, a firm of shipbrokers that specialises in petroleum product tankers, and Ocean and Oil Services Ltd.

Condelences have since poured in for the late Jide. He obtained a Masters degree in Maritime Law from the university.

"It is my prayer that Allah grants him and his family the fortitude to bear this grave loss".

"The death of this young and enterprising man came to me as a shock".

Mr Dayo Adeyeye, the Publicity Secretary of the party's National Caretaker Committee, stated this in a condolence message on Thursday in Abuja.

In a statement signed by Ibori's Media Assistant, Tony Eluemunor, the former Governor of Delta State from 1999 t0 2007 described the late Babjide as "truly remarkable".

Mr. Akin Osuntokun, a member of the THISDAY Editorial Board and columnist for the newspaper, was equally shocked when the news was broken to him by THISDAY.

"Once again my leader, (Ahmed Bola Tinubu) is sure that we share with you and your family the pain of this hard moment", he declared. "I am distraught and can only imagine the agony our dear Asiwaju and family have been thrown into".

He prayed that the soul of deceased would rest in peace.
