Whole Foods hiring 6000 employees at 'on-the-spot' November 2 event

Whole Foods' Hiring Day has calmed those fears for now, and today, November 2, the company is planning to add 6,000 employees to its workforce.

The event includes full-time and part-time opportunities for both seasonal and permanent positions, including cashiers, culinary experts and prepared foods specialists. All local stores are involved in the recruitment effort, which the company calls "National Hiring Day".

Whole Foods Market employees are offered competitive pay, full- and part-time benefits, flexible scheduling, and a 20 percent in-store discount.

The company says there is a possibility of making hires on the spot. The 6,000 Whole Foods jobs don't count toward that goal, according to a Whole Foods spokesperson.
