With Kingpin behind bars, Parker dares to wonder whether it's safe for him to relax. Mary Jane Watson also looks to be an important part of the game too.

Of course it's not long before we see Spider-Man do his thing, fighting against a raft of enemies and sorting out a bank robbery. In the midst of the two minute trailer, there were a couple of in-game portions that looked to portray non-Spider-Man characters as playable. Jay Ong, Marvel's vice president of games, told Polygon that Spider-Man marked the start of what's to come.

Here's a synopsis: Starring the world's most iconic Super Hero, Spider-Man features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for, while also introducing elements never-before-seen in a Spider-Man game.

But man, I can't deal with this unmasked Peter Parker.

Homecoming added up to one of the MCU's biggest successes, and a triumph for Sony Pictures as it teamed up with Marvel to reinvigorate the Spider-Man franchise. It laments that the writers (all six of them) couldn't resist giving the character a "forced personal connection" with Parker, much like Alfred Molina as Doc Ock in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2. And from the looks of it, she'll be involved in some stealth gameplay. Devil's Breath is utilised by the villainous Mister Negative to attempt to gain control of the criminal underground. But judging by the game's trailers and gameplay footage, it seems the wait may very well be worth it.

A new trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man was revealed during Sony's Paris Games Week conference.

"It was really, really important to us", Intihar says about the new trailer "to get across that this is an experience, a story that goes beyond just being a superhero".
